Campiglia Marittima

Campiglia Marittima is a small town on the Etruscan Coast, located on top of a hill overlooking the sea and the surrounding countryside offering pleasant panoramic views.

The town is an ancient medieval castle, which is still accessed through three historic gates inserted in the walls. At the highest point of the village is the Rocca di Campiglia, which dates back to the 10th century. The narrow streets leading to the main square of the village and small shops are the setting for various events that are organized every year including Apriti Borgo, festival of street theater and itinerant performances in the streets of the medieval village, that takes place in August - Campiglia Marittima Farm.

The Nights of Archaeology

Special evening openings and events in museums, archaeological areas and parks. Guided tours, shows, trekking, educational workshops for children and adults, meetings and conferences will mark the whole of the regional territory throughout July, discovering its artistic traditions, crafts, production and food and wine.

Apriti Borgo

Campiglia Marittima in the most suggestive evenings of summer, between the night of San Lorenzo and that of Ferragosto, it turns into a great open-air theater.

Medieval dinner

In the enchanting setting of the Rocca di Campiglia takes place the " Medieval Dinner ", a banquet for over 100 diners with dishes from the time, therefore strictly devoid of ingredients introduced into the diet after the discovery of America. Tables are lit by torches and around, dancers and medieval music. Shows, visual experiences, food and wine tours, exhibitions and cultural activities will alternate to recreate the ideal scenario
