Easter Dove with Lemon Extra Virgin Oil

Colomba all' Olio d'Oliva Extravergine al Limone

Today we present a lighter, but no less tasty variant of the classic Milanese Easter Dove replacing the butter with our Extra Virgin Olive Oil with Lemon.

Ingredients:

  • 3 Eggs
  • 350 g of flour 00
  • 150 g of sugar
  • 180 ml of milk
  • aroma of vanilla
  • 1 lemon, grated
  • 1 sachet of yeast
  • 80 ml of Lemon Extra Virgin Oil
  • almonds and sugar flakes

Procedure:

Initially separate the egg white from the yolk of the eggs by dividing them into different trays. Add to the yolk sugar, almond aroma vial, Extra Virgin Olive Oil with Lemon and milk. While mixing everything pour the flour and then the yeast. To obtain a homogeneous dough, add the grated lemon and the freshly whipped egg white. Then put the dough into a mold and garnish the surface with sugar grains and almonds. Finally, bake the Colomba at 180° for 40 minutes, after which it should be allowed to cool down so that it has a perfect consistency on the eye and palate.
