BARATTI
The apartments of our farm are located near the Gulf of Baratti and Populonia, in the quiet of the Tuscan countryside, 10 minutes from the sea.
Baratti
It is a picturesque gulf from which you can enjoy a splendid panorama. To see the beautiful pine forest on the sea, the beach bathed by a clean and transparent sea and, on the hill, the medieval castle of Populonia dating back to the fifteenth century.
The bay is characterized by a sandy coast with shallow waters while the sand is characterized both by golden and amber colors and the presence of iron slag, residues from the processing of that metal during the Etruscan period.
Just behind the beach is the necropolis where you can visit the Etruscan tombs to dive into what was the reality of the Etruscan time, and learn about the works that were done there.
The Gulf of Baratti is also an ideal place for lovers of trekking or simple walks immersed in nature and offers many ideas to visit the coast and its interior: the Buca delle Fate with its crystal clear waters is just one example.
